correct, will be fixed within the next upload.

sure, feel free to rewrite the docs and provide a patch. i'll include it
into the package. but please reread README.mailman first. I've already
updated it for lurker 2.X.
lurker-index-bin is not mentioned any more, and lurker-index-mm has been
minimized to lurker-index-lc, which converts mailinglist names to
lowercase before giving them to lurker-index. that one is still
necessary though.

for mailman2lurker, that one is definitely not obsolete. it has been
completely rewritten, and is intented to create a first skeleton
lurker.conf include based on mailman lists, and update this
configuration later.
it also has support for importing mailman mbox files into lurkers
database etc.
Please see the manpage mailman2lurker(8) for more information.

actually, i don't know where README.mailman is obsolete or outdated, but
if you have suggestions for improvements, please let me know.
i agree with you, that my english is not the best, though. it would be
great, if you could rewrite the docs in a better english.

the other questions have already been answered by wesley.
